### Swings are normal weather

A ruler-flat graph is rare. Swings are normal weather.

> Swings are normal weather. Not a diagnosis.

### Common reasons

- Different hook / topic / length
- Audience online on different days
- The platform tests the video on a small sample
- Season, trends, competition for attention
- You compared a banger to a filler post
- After a spike, the next video “cools” back to baseline — also normal

### When to dig deeper

- A streak of many posts in a row with a collapse
- Non-follower impressions suddenly died + there were shady tactics
- Account status shows restrictions

> Otherwise one flop ≠ “shadowban” and ≠ “everything’s over.”

### Practice

Look at the **median** across 7–14 posts, not the emotion from the last one.
Smooth outliers up and down with your head.

Smooth the spikes up and down with your head — not your nerves.

> **Median rule:** “Look at the median across 7–14 posts, not the emotion from the last one.”

## Check yourself

What does one weak video after a strong one usually mean?

1. Guaranteed shadowban
2. Normal variance; watch the trend across a series of posts
3. You must change niches ASAP
4. You need to buy views

Explanation: Reach always wanders. Decide from a series and retention — not one stats frame.
