CTAs without the cringe

Without a CTA, they swipe on

CTA = call to action. Without one, people often just swipe on — even if the video landed.

CTAs algorithms like (and that help you)

  • Save — if there’s actually something worth saving
  • Comment — with a specific question (“what’s your city?” / “1 or 2?”)
  • Follow — after you’ve shown value, not empty “follow me” in second one
  • Share / send to a friend — if the content is “for someone who…”
  • Link / reply in DMs — when there’s a next step

Why it feels cringe

“FOLLOW RIGHT NOW!!!🔥🔥🔥” with no reason. Or five asks at once: save, follow, comment, buy, join Telegram.

One video — one main ask. The rest optional and quiet.

Formula for a normal CTA

Do X if you need Y.

CTA formula

“Save this if you’re building a tag set before you post” — clear. “Support with a like” — weak and fuzzy.

Which CTA usually hits harder?

  1. “Like if this hit” with no context
  2. One specific ask tied to the video’s value
  3. Five different asks at the end
  4. No ask at all — “real ones” will figure it out
Explanation: People find one clear action easier. A CTA should flow from the content — not scream for a metric.
