# Engagement: comments, replies, collabs

### A living account, a living person

The algorithm checks if the account is alive. The audience checks if there’s a **human** here.

### Basic ritual after posting

1. Reply to comments fast (especially the first hour–day)
2. A reply = mini-content, not “+” and a heart
3. Carry a frequent question into Stories / the next video

### How to comment on other people’s posts

Useful, on point, on the video’s topic.
Not: “Awesome! Follow me, I post about this too.”

> Not: “Nice! Follow me, I post about this too.”

### Collabs at your level

- Mutual Stories with a niche peer
- Duet / stitch that adds something, not parasites
- A live / joint breakdown

> Small blog × small blog is often warmer than forcing your way onto a millionaire’s page with no value.

### Energy

Engagement eats time. Set a 20–40 minute timer. Otherwise you’ll drown in DMs and never shoot the next video.

> **Timer rule:** “Otherwise you’ll drown in DMs and never shoot the next clip.”

## Check yourself

Which comment on someone else’s post helps growth more?

1. “Follow me”
2. A short useful add-on on the video’s topic, no spam
3. A link to your shop right away
4. One emoji and you’re gone

Explanation: A useful comment can bring curious people to your profile. Direct spam usually annoys both the creator and the audience.
