### For everyone — for no one

“Content for everyone” sounds huge

> In practice — often for no one.

### Tight niche

**Pros** (warmer)

clear offer, warmer comments, easier ideas, more trust

**Cons** (feels small)

less “random” reach, feels like “too few people”

### Broad topic with no angle

**Pros** (big market)

looks like a big market

**Cons** (a drop)

you’re a drop in the ocean, hard to remember, weak follow conversion

### The smart path

Start tight: “running for beginners 35+,” not just “fitness.”
Then expand: nutrition for runners, gear, race days — **around the core**.

> It’s not a cage. It’s an anchor.

### The test

If a new visitor doesn’t say “oh, this is about me” in 5 seconds — you’re still too vague or too “about everything.”

> **The 5-second test:** “If someone doesn’t recognise themselves right away — you’re still too vague or too ‘about everything’.”

## Check yourself

Why is a tight niche often better at the start?

1. Because broad topics are banned
2. It’s easier to hit “this is about me” and build trust
3. Because it means less work forever
4. Because the algorithm only indexes narrow words

Explanation: Narrow focus boosts recognition and conversion. Expand from a strong core, not from mush.
